Patricia’s patent will open a world of studies for the effects of Braille literacy on memory retention and treatment of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in patients losing memory. I’m a blind medical doctor with total blindness and use the Braille and assistive computer technology for work and communications. I am reviewing the literature to study and research (applying Patricia’s patent), the possible effect(s) of Braille literacy on memory retention and thus, of healing MCI, preventing same from developing into full Alzheimer disease in such patients. Brainpaths’ is a brain-stimulating device, receiving a USPTO Utility Patent in 2015. Brainpaths LLC develops, manufactures and sells Brainpaths fingertip tracing devices throughout the United States and Europe. Brainpaths devices are non-invasive and without side effects, using fingertips to trace patterned-plastic pathways injected into Brainpaths devices. Repetitive Fingertip tracing indents into 3000 mechanoreceptors under the skin of each fingertip, providing a superhighway from the fingertips, to the spinal column, and to the sensory cortex of the brain, stimulating the brain and strengthening synapse connections between neurons.
